Patty Shepard

Patty Shepard ( born October 1, 1945 in Greenville, South Carolina; † January 3, 2013 in Madrid) was an American actress.

Life

Shepard was born as Patricia Moran Shepard. Her father was an officer in the U.S. Air Force. In 1963 she came to Spain, where her father was stationed at the U.S. military base Alcalá de Henares. Shepard moved to Madrid, where she originally wanted to study philosophy. But then she worked as a model and was seen in commercials on Spanish TV, among other things, a Spanish brandy brand.

In 1966, she was next to Paco Martinez Soria her film debut in the Spanish comedy film La ciudad no es para mí; however, it was not mentioned in the credits. Throughout her career, Shepard starred in about 50 movies with Spanish and Italian. Shepard was seen in movies of different genres. The main focus, however, she starred in spaghetti westerns, horror films and Spanish-Italian Gialli.

Shepard played in the Euro - Western It's about your head, Amigo ( 1966; than Saloon Girl, alongside Anthony Steffen ), your life is not worth a dollar (1970, as Deborah Kellaway, daughter of a Confederate officer in the American Civil War, next to Dean Reed ), El más fabuloso golpe del Far West (1971, a magnifying glass) in the spaghetti western comedy petroleum chicks (1971, as Little Rain), the Man from El Paso (1973, as Peg Cullane ) and, on the side Lee Van Cleef and Lo Lieh, in in my anger wieg ' I four quintals (1974, as Russian mistress ).

She was also in the horror films Dracula chases Frankenstein (1970, as Ilse ) to see and Night of the Vampire (1970); in the latter film, she embodied the medieval witch and sorceress Countess Wandesa Dárvula de Nadasty. In the thriller Mio caro assassino (1972 ) she played the teacher Paola Rossi. In Giallo The girl from the Via Condotti she plays in the title sequence, the wife of a private detective who is choked during intercourse by her lover until she is dead. In the action-comedy Two thick as thieves (1974 ), she appeared alongside Terence Hill and Bud Spencer as a rope dancer Lisa.

Later, Shepard worked occasionally for television. End of the 1980s, she retired from film work.

In 1967 she married the Spanish actor Manuel De Blas, who was her partner in several films; she had de Blas met at the filming of the movie Cita en Navarra (1967). Shepard died at the age of 68 years at her home in Madrid of a heart attack.
