Paul Attanasio

Paul Albert Attanasio ( born November 14, 1959 in the Bronx, New York City ) is an American screenwriter and film producer who became known in addition to his two Oscar nominations mainly by the doctor that he created series House MD.

Life

Paul Albert Attanasio was born the son of Connie, a real estate agent, and Joseph Attanasio, an advertising consultant, in the Bronx. He grew up in Teaneck and in Pelham Bay, New Jersey. After graduating in 1981 from Harvard College, he graduated in 1984 in law at the Harvard Law School.

From 1984 to 1987 Attanasio worked as a film critic at The Washington Post. He then wrote two episodes of the sitcom Doctor Doctor, before he created with Homicide in 1993 his first series. For the adapted by him in each case based on a novel screenplays Quiz Show and Donnie Brasco Attanasio in 1995 and 1998 honored with an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
