Paul Buckmaster

Paul Buckmaster (* 1946 in London as John Paul Buckmaster ) is an English composer and arranger.

Life

Born Paul Buckmaster, 1946 in London. At age four he started to learn the cello. At age 16, he had a degree from the Royal College of Music. He is best known for his work with Elton John. He also arranged pieces for David Bowie, Bee Gees, Leonard Cohen, Jamie Cullum, Michael Bublé, Mika and Harry Nilsson. He also worked as a film music composer and is among other things responsible for the soundtrack of the film 12 Monkeys. At the Grammy Awards in 2002 he won the Grammy for Best Instrumental Arrangement with singing accompaniment for the song Drops Of Jupiter of American alternative band Train.
