Paul Doucette

Paul Doucette ( born August 22, 1972 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American musician. He is known mainly by the alternative rock band Matchbox Twenty.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1990, he first played with Rob Thomas and Brian Yale in the band Tabitha's Secret. After the founding of Matchbox Twenty, he became a drummer of this band. Other members are again Rob Thomas and Brian Yale, and Adam Gaynor and Kyle Cook. After Adam Gaynor 2005 Matchbox Twenty left, Paul Doucette took over his part as a guitarist in the band. Drummer was henceforth Ryan McMillan.

Married with Moon Zappa is Doucette, a daughter of the famous musician Frank Zappa. Both now live together with their daughter born in 2004 in California.

Solo projects

During the 2003-2007 permanent break from Matchbox Twenty, he also devoted himself as frontman Rob Thomas own solo project, which The break and repair method was called in the case of Paul Doucettes. He also wrote a song for the U.S. children TV channel Nickelodeon and worked in a song on the solo album Something to be by Rob Thomas on drums.

Others

On the latest album Exile on Mainstream by Matchbox Twenty, he contributed the song I'll Believe You When You and All your Reasons and worked as artistic director for the album cover. Already on the 2003 album More than you think you are, he had written the song Could I be you.
