Paul Émile Chabas

Paul Émile Chabas Joseph ( born March 7, 1869 in Nantes, † May 10, 1937 in Paris) was a French painter.

Life

Paul Émile Chabas studied at the Académie des Beaux -Arts under William Adolphe Bouguereau and Tony Robert -Fleury. In later years, he often traveled to Norway, Algeria and Greece. His favorite subjects were young nude girl in a natural environment, his most famous image is the September Morning. His works are often referred to as kitsch.
