Paul Lê Đắc Trọng

Phaolô Lê Đắc Trọng ( born June 15, 1918 in Kim Lam; † 7 September 2009 in Hanoi ) was an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Hanoi.

Life

Phaolô Lê Đắc Trọng studied from 1940 to 1948 at the University Seminar Xuan Bich Lieu Giai in the district of Ba Dinh in Hanoi. He received on 1 April 1948, the ordination to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Hanoi. In 1950 he became rector of the Vietnamese Le Bao Tinh seminar. In 1952 he was appointed to the diocesan court in Hanoi. In 1953 he became head of the parish Nam Định. From 1991 to 1994 he was a professor at St. Joseph Seminary in Hanoi.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Titular Bishop of Igilgili 1994 and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop in Hanoi. The Archbishop of Hanoi, Joseph Paul Phạm Đình Tung, donated to him on August 15, 1994 the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Barthélémy Nguyen Son Lâm PSS, Bishop of Thanh Hóa, and Paul Nguyen Van Hòa, Bishop of Nha Trang.

On January 21, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI. its age-related resignation. He died in German - Vietnamese Hospital in Hanoi.
