Paul Otellini

Paul S. Otellini ( born October 12, 1950) was from 2005 to 2013 Intel's fifth chief executive officer. In addition, Otellini is a member of the Board of Directors of Google Inc.

Training

Paul Otellini holds a degree at St. Ignatius College Preparatory. He is also a Bachelor in Economics from the University of San Francisco. He made the MBA at the University of California, Berkeley in 1974.

Work for Intel

Otellini joined the Intel 1974. From 1998 to 2002 he was Vice President and first manager of the Intel Architecture Group, responsible for the microprocessor and chipset business and strategies for desktop, mobile and enterprise computing. From 1996 to 1998, Otellini Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 1994 to 1996 and was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sales and Marketing.

Previously, he was the first manager of the Microprocessor Products Group responsible for the introduction of the Pentium microprocessor in 1993.
