Paul Ranheim

Paul Stephen Ranheim ( born January 25, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player who during his career for the Calgary Flames, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, Philadelphia Flyers and Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League played the position of left winger.

Career

Paul Ranheim began his career in 1984 at the University of Wisconsin -Madison in the National Collegiate Athletic Association and was for four years the team active. Then he went for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles of the International Hockey League to the ice, where he obtained 105 points in 89 games for Salt Lake. Ranheim had already been selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1984 by the Calgary Flames in the second round to 38th position for which he also ran aground in his first professional season five times.

He was six years in the squad of the Flames and remained with the team in the play- offs without notable success, as the team already in the first round was eliminated from the competition in three appearances and three more times could not qualify. From 1993 to 1997, he went for the Hartford Whalers on the ice from 1997 to 2000 for the Carolina Hurricanes. Although he scored during almost his entire career to the service providers of its respective teams and over 1000 NHL games played, he never came up with a team beyond the first play-off round.

It was followed by the stations Philadelphia Flyers and Phoenix Coyotes. After he finished his career.
