Paul Walcker

Paul Walcker ( born May 31, 1846 in Ludwigsburg, † June 6, 1928 ) was a German organ builder.

Paul Walcker was one of the sons of the famous Eberhard Friedrich Walcker organ builder (1794-1872) and his second wife Marie Stumpp. On the Stuttgart Polytechnic he studied Musical style and architecture, entered 1864 with the Father in the teaching and participated in the organs of the Reformed Churches in Mulhouse ( Alsace ) and Glarus, and the German Reformed Church in St. Petersburg.

In 1886 led Paul along with the four brothers Eberhard Heinrich ( 1828-1903 ), Friedrich ( 1829-1895 ), Karl ( 1845-1908 ) and Eberhard ( 1850-1928 ) Ludwig Burger Organ Company, where he was responsible for the construction and drawing office.

In 1892 it came to battle with his brothers and Paul Walcker went through the mediation of Alexander Wilhelm Gottschalg to organbuilder Sauer to Frankfurt ( Oder). In the spring of 1894 Walcker was already managing director and the official representative of his boss Wilhelm Sauer. 1910, Sauer sat down to rest, and sold his company to Paul Walcker.

In 1917 Paul Walcker handed Sauer to his nephew Oscar Walcker ( 1869-1948 ).

The son of Paul Walcker jun. was Regierungsbaumeister and Dipl. -Ing. of electrical engineering.
