Pauline Chan (Australian actress)

Pauline Chan ( born 1956 in Vietnam) is an Australian actress, director and producer.

Life and work

The ethnic Chinese born in Vietnam in 1956 Pauline Chan left the age of 16 at the end of the Vietnam War, their home country to Hong Kong. Here she attended the High School, took acting lessons at a drama school and then played in Hong Kong films. Later Pauline Chan in the U.S. began to study film at the University of California at Los Angeles and went in 1980 after Sydney.Ihr debut as Australian actress gave Pauline Chan 1987 in produced by George Miller Australian TV series Vietnam. In the 1989 miniseries Bangkok Hilton turned, another George Miller production, she played a pretty and corrupt Thai prison guard and became known in the German speaking countries. From her directorial work, the resulting 1996 film A woman strikes back best known in Germany.
