Pavel Tregubov

Pavel Vladimirovich Tregubow (Russian Павел Владимирович Трегубов; born December 21, 1971 in Krasnodar ) is a Russian chess master.

In 2000 the first European Championship was held in Saint -Vincent. After 11 rounds with 120 participants was Pawel Tregubow before Alexei Alexandrov and Tomasz Markowski first European Champion. Thus, he qualified for the World Chess Cup 2009, in which he, however, in the first round after a tie and a number of subsequent flash chess games with 7 to 9 was eliminated against Varuzhan Akobian.

Tregubow conquered or occupied top positions in several tournaments: 2nd place in the tournament in Alushta (1993 ), 3rd place in the tournament in Cetinje (1996 ), 1st place in the tournament in Krasnodar, together with Sergei and Sergei Dolmatow Rubljowski (1997), 1st place in the tournament in Krasnodar (1998 ), 1st place in the tournament in Krasnodar together with Maxim Sorokin (1999) and 1st place in the tournament in Krasnodar ( 2001).

Since 1993 he is an International Master, since 1994, he has the Grandmaster title and since 2012 also the title of FIDE Senior Trainer. In the season 2010/11 the German Chess League, he plays for the SV Mülheim- Nord. His first season in the German Bundesliga chess was the season 2005/06.

Tregubow was a board member of the Association of Association of Chess Professionals.
