Pays de Caux

The Pays de Caux is an area in Normandy, part of the Paris Basin. It is a chalk plateau in the Haute -Normandie region north of the Seine, which extends up to the cliffs of the English Channel. The Pays de Caux accounts for the largest part of the department of Seine- Maritime.

The most important cities in the region include Le Havre, Dieppe, Fécamp, Etretat and Yvetot. The people and their dialect is called Cauchois.
