Pedro León

Pedro León Sánchez Gil, Pedro León short (* 24 November 1986 in Mula, Región de Murcia ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Getafe CF in La Liga. He is the younger brother of Spanish cyclists Luis León Sánchez.

Playing career

National

Pedro León began his career at Real Murcia and rose with the club in the 2006/07 season in third place the Segunda División. Afterwards, however, he left the newly promoted and moved to the Primera División - club Levante UD. With his new club, he rose at the end of the 2007/08 season in the Segunda División. It was then obliged Pedro Leon from the first division club Real Valladolid. For the season 2009/10 he moved to FC Getafe. There he convinced such a way that he moved prior to the start of the season 2010/11 for the fourth time in four years the team: He signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid. At the Royal he made his debut in the UEFA Champions League and met on 3 November 2010 against AC Milan shortly before the end of the 2-2. Ultimately, however, did not come Pedro León with the Spanish record champion under coach José Mourinho on the role of complement footballer in question. Accordingly, for 2011/12 season he returned on loan to Getafe. At the end of the playing time of the loan contract was extended for another year. For the 2013/14 season Getafe pulled the contractually agreed purchase option and took Pedro Leon firmly under contract.

Internationally

Pedro Leon played for the Spanish Under-21 national team.
