Peloursin

Peloursin is an indigenous red grape variety of the Isère Valley and is now grown in small amounts in the southeast of France, California and Australia. Interestingly, it is because from a cross of Syrah Peloursin and the widespread variety Durif originated.

The wealth of synonyms explained by its former range in the Savoie department in the Franche -Comté. In France, the variety is almost entirely extinct. Officially, the late 1990s were still raised about 0.59 hectares.
