Biography

Indies

PENICILLIN was founded in 1992 by four friends of Tōkai University and consisted of singer Gisho, guitarist Chisato and drummer O- Jiro. As Hakuei was come, he took over the post of the singer, Gisho games then the electric bass. The second guitarist Shaisuke remained only in the first year and stepped out of the ribbon to later join the band meringue. The band then remained until 2007 with four members.

Penicillin first concert took place in the year. Their first mini-album Penicillin Shock was released in 1994 and produced by Kiyoshi ex - Media Youth, ex - Spread Beaver, support band of hide). A few months followed Missing Link, 1995, two more mini albums.

Major

Due to its success, decided penicillin in 1996 to sign a major contract with EastWest Japan, where her major debut Vibe was released in June 1996. On the album indwell then there was a pause, which should be used for solo projects.

The first Best of album of the band was released in 1999 titled This is Penicillin 1994-1999, it was followed by the single Nice in Lip L. 2000 brought the band out the more experimental Union Jap. The single release Ultrider was used as the ending theme for the anime TV series Kindaichi Shounen.

Back to the roots

In 2001, penicillin gave to the Major status and released the singles Inazuma and limit Complex c / w Juliet, who were rocking again. This was published in November of Nuclear Banana album was commercially not quite connect to earlier times, but it did not sell too bad.

In addition to pursuing their solo projects published penicillin FLOWER CIRCUS (2004), hellbound heart ( 2005) and two singles in 2006.

The year 2007 marked the 15-year -anniversary, which was celebrated with the single Grind Candy and a Special Live on Valentine's Day at Shibuya O- East. End of February of the same year appeared a new album called Blue Heaven to which a tour was connected.

On May 20, after the last concert of the tour, bassist Gisho left the band.
