Lucifer (band)

Λucifer (also spelled Aucifer or Lucifer and Ryushifaa pronounced), was a Japanese rock / pop band, which was founded in 1999 and was attributable to the Visual Kei. 2003, the breakup of the band was decided.

History

The name of the band goes back to the successful manga " Kaikan Phrase " Japanese mangaka Mayu Shinjo, where it comes to a band of the same name. Λucifer was founded to promote the anime " Kaikan Phrase ". The members of the real band took the same name as the characters of the anime, with the exception of vocalist Makoto, who did not change his name to Sakuya.

Their debut had Λucifer on 15 September 1999 with their first single Datenshi BLUE, which was simultaneously also the second opening of the anime ( episodes 12-22 ). Also for the third and fourth Opening Λucifer sang the songs ( C no Binetsu and Toyko Genso ). The band also sang at the beginning of the anime, the songs whose lyrics occurred in the manga, written by Mayu Shinjo. An example of this is the song Plasmagic, which was both sung by the Manga / Anime band, as well as the real band Λucifer.

The band became increasingly popular. In the same year they also released their first album Limit Control. The music written Takuya Asanuma ( Judy and Mary ), Chisato (Penicillin ) and Ippei & Taizo ( FEEL ), but later the members began writing his own songs. It was followed by the publication of further albums and singles. Even after the end of the anime itself band decided to continue making music.

On 25 October 2002, over two and a half years after the end of the anime, announced Λucifer the end of the band. This was followed by their last tour under the title Λucifer Last Live 2002-2003 Energy of 16 December 2002 to 10 January 2003, which included 9 concerts. On January 11, 2003, after her last television appearance in a Thai television ( which at the same time her first appearance outside of Japan was ), the band and the band members parted began to devote themselves to their own projects.

2010 and 2012, there were comebacks of the band.

Solo careers

  • Makoto has started a solo career under the name Makoto. For his first mini-album vibration he got the support of his former bandmates Towa and Santa.
  • Towa plays in the two bands Olive Sunday and Birth of Life and has also launched a solo career. He also belongs to the people who arrange many songs for the j -pop idols AKB48 and other groups in the area.
  • Santa also plays in the band Olive Sunday. Since 2007 he has participated in many live tours of Miliyah Kato.
  • Yuki plays in the band DUSTAR - third Besides, he is working in his band Acid Black Cherry with Janne Da Arc Yasu.
  • Atsuro worked as a guitarist for some JPop bands, such as meg rock, Marika and Chieko Kawabe. He produced and arranged songs for an extraordinary number of j- pop artists including Aya Hirano, Minori Chihara Shoko Nakagawa and.
