Sensual Phrase
Kaikan Phrase (Japanese快感 ♥ フレーズ, Kaikan Furēzu ) is a manga series of the Japanese Mayu Shinjo illustrator. The series also has been implemented as an anime television series and video game.

Action
The high school student Aine Yukimura loses her lyrics, she had written for a song competition. Sakuya Okochi is a member of the band Λucifer and the object of desire for millions of women. He just finds Aine text and composes a song. Suddenly, the girl is the official song writer of the band and assumes the male pseudonym Yukihiko to protect their identity. Λucifer are known for their sensual lyrics and the good-looking band members, who in addition Sakuya also Towa, Yuki, Atsuro and Santa belong to. When Aine and Sakuya meet, they feel attracted and find what has been missing them in their lives to each other. The relationship between the singer and songwriter is put to a severe test, because by Sakuyas Popularity Aine is not only the victim of the jealous fans but also of envious people who want to overthrow Sakuya by Aine hurt. But Sakuyas strong desire to protect his sweetheart, driving him to distraction and he loses his patience and more often, so it needs to be reassured of his band members.
Characters
Aine Yukimura (Japanese雪村 爱 音)
Aine is a main character of the manga series and a rather shy, but happy girl in high school. When she is almost hit by a car, she gets from Sakuya a card for his next concert in Tokyo Dome. There she suddenly hears her lost lyrics on stage. As a poet himself Aine deserves its own place in the band. She knows what the fans want and Λucifer writes down in her texts.
Sakuya Okochi (Japanese大 河内 咲 也)
Sakuya is also a main character and lead singer of the rock band the trendy Λucifer. He is known for his remarkable blue eyes, which he inherited from his American father. Like his mother, he sang and played the piano earlier for club guests. To earn more money, he also worked as a male hostess. Because of his difficult childhood Sakuya has lost confidence in people. When he found Aine's lyrics, he urges it still more to write lyrics for Λucifer. At first, he thinks only of himself and used Aine only, but after a while it starts real feelings for the girl to develop. Sakuya has a half brother named Ralph Grazer.
Yukifumi " Yuki " Todo (Japanese藤 堂 雪 文)
Yuki is one of the founders of the band and an old friend from Santa. The guitarist is the strong leadership of the group and carries most of the responsibility. As the eldest son of a traditional theatrical family, he is faced with a tough decision when he gets a record deal. When he opts for the band, he is disowned by his father. Later, you realize, however, that the two have a friendly relationship with each other.
Kazuto " Towa " Sakuma (Japanese佐 久 间 和 斗)
Because Towas androgynous good looks, that is largely to his long blond wavy hair, are the bassist not only women's feet, but men fall before him in a swoon. But because of his appearance Towa is also frequently annoyed, but what it does not matter. Is important to him only the opinion of his girlfriend Miya. Miya is the official makeup artist of Λucifer and friends since childhood with Towa. She is a very simple person and supplemented totally with Towa.
Yoshihiko " Santa " Nagai (Japanese永 井 良 彦)
Santa plays drums in the band and has his nickname because he was born on Christmas Day. Santa is a more relaxed, but quite loud type. About its history is rather little known compared to his bandmates. Previously, he played with his girlfriend Yumi.
Atsuro Kiryu (Japanese桐 生 敦 郎)
Atsuro is a friendly and joyful character. He has long been with his step- sister Yuka together, but the relationship is trying with all means against his parents to keep the press and his bandmates secret. But in the end comes out the all in the band, except Sakuya, knew of his relationship. So Yuka and Atsuro come to the decision to communicate it to the rest of the world.
Manga
The manga by Mayu Shinjo appeared from 1997 to 2000 in the shōjo manga magazine Comic of the publisher Shogakukan. The chapter is summarized in 18 tankōbon, one of which was published as a special band.
The series was released by Viz Media in English as Sensual Phrase, Pika Édition in French and the publisher Editorial Ivrea in Spanish. Editions Star Comics published the manga in the Italian magazine Amici.
In German the manga first appeared in the magazine Manga Twister of the publishing house Egmont Manga and Anime, later followed by a publication in anthologies. So far 17 of these have been published.
Anime
In 1999, the Studio Hibari to manga produced an anime television series with 44 episodes. This Hiroko Tokita directed, and the character design is by Yumi Nakayama. The series was broadcast on 20 April 1999 to 25 March 2000 at the broadcaster TV Tokyo.

Video game
In February 2000, the music game was released in Japan Kaikan Phrase: Datenshi Kōrin for the PlayStation. The game was developed by Produce and distributed by Enix.
