The / the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center is a multi-functional complex in Harrisburg, PA in the United States. The complex was opened in 1966 and has since become the main point of the show annual Pennsylvania Farm Show.

History

The beginnings of the "Pennsylvania Farm Show " go back to the year 1917, when in Harrisburg for the first time held an event of this kind. Until 1931, the show has been held annually at different venues and came from the same year to the Main Exhibition Building. Over time, the event gained nationwide more and more prominence, with a turnout of 400,000 people are expected for the "Pennsylvania Farm Show 2010". Overall, the show in 2010 about 6,000 animals and 10,000 other exhibits will be provided by 270 different exhibitors.

In addition to the "Pennsylvania Farm Show " are also held concerts, car shows, horse sales, etc. in the halls. From 1991 to 2003 the hall was the main venue of Harrisburg Heat, a professional indoor football team with gaming operations in the former National Professional Soccer Leagues League and Major Indoor Soccer League. In the meantime, played in the years 1994 and 1995 and the basketball team Harrisburg Hammerheads, a member of the Continental Basketball Association, in one of the various halls of the complex. Since the year 2009, the Professional Indoor Football Club Harrisburg Stampede is active in one of the many halls with gaming operations in the AIFA, founded in 2005, where it supports its home games.

Opened in 1966, the complex offers a total of about 7,600 people at sporting events. Throughout the complex there are six halls, an arena, will take place in the largely horse sports such as dressage, etc., as well as a large arena (similar to the equestrian hall). Furthermore, there is a separate part of the hall with 918 seats, mainly take place in the actions. The entrance hall that leads around the so-called Large Hall, offers just under 2,000 m² surface also enough space for exhibitors with their stands. Also located next to the complex a barn with a total of 124 stalls.
