People's Union (Iraq)

The People's Union ( Ittihad al- Arab Scha'ab, English People's Union, or Program of People 's Unity ), which is a secular leftist party list in the elections in Iraq on 30 January 2005 (see Iraqi government in 2005 ) took Iraqi Communist Party.

275 candidates, including Communists, liberals, independent patriots came to this list.

They got 69 920 votes and thus two seats in the National Assembly.
