Pepe Rubio
José Rubio Urrea (also Pepe Rubio, born September 10, 1931 in Lubrín, † March 15, 2012 in Madrid) was a Spanish actor.
Life
Rubio, the son of a miner, came with his parents in 1939 to Barcelona, where until his military service he worked as a teenager in a textile and a chemical plant. Rubio debuted in 1952 in El divinmo impaciente by José María Perman on stage; after he met Francisco Rabal, who became his father's friend, he came to the ensemble of the " Compañía Lope de Vega ", where he was occupied with José Tamayo in Sophocles' Oedipus the King. Later, Rubio has enjoyed success at the Teatro Español in the Spanish capital in pieces such as Six Characters in Search of an Author, Death of a Salesman and Don Juan Tenorio. Among his other roles towered out in The Diary of Anne Frank, Orpheus in the underworld and the judge of Zalamea.
