Persuader
Persuader (English for " persuader "; Someone convinced ) is a power metal band from Umeå, Sweden.
Biography
After 1998, the first demo recording was completed, Persuader got a recording contract with the music label " Loud 'n' Proud Records ," so that in the spring of 2001, the first studio album "The Hunter" was published. The ratings of the debut were largely positive, in hip magazines, the band was at times even describes as the best newcomer of the year 2000. The success was marred by the bankruptcy of the label, making the album was only released nationwide in France. In addition to personal differences in the band presented, so that the former guitarist Pekka Kiviaho was dismissed and replaced by Emil Nordberg.
After some initial difficulties, the new cast took part in the " Metal Gods Competition" which was organized by the label "Noise International". At the finals in Bochum, the band won the first place and a record deal. Shortly thereafter - 2004 - released their second studio album "Evolution Purgatory". There was a renewed label shift to " Dockyard 1". Further, the second guitarist Daniel Sundbom was adjusted.
During the same period Carlsson and Norberg formed the side project Savage Circus, which of Thomen upsetting - it was suggested - Ex- drummer of Blind Guardian. Stauch, the band had specifically addressed because he had Blind Guardian leave because of their change of style.
The third studio album the band in addition to the mentioned genres united also some thrash and black metal influences, although they tried to make no brutal change of style for the last album. Finally, in 2006 published "When Eden Burns".
In October 2009 the band announced that they are working on a new album in the studio " Värdelös ". Then they led a public studio diary in the form of a blog. In January 2014, the album "The Fiction Maze " was released.
Style
The band plays Power Metal with some influences of heavy and speed metal and usually reminds strongly of the early albums by Blind Guardian. Also lyrically Persuader oriented themes such as Fantasy and Mythology, sings of places but also different.
