Pesah Grupper

Group of people, Passover (Hebrew פסח גרופר; born August 21, 1924 in Jaffa, † April 29, 2013 in Atlit ) was an Israeli politician.

Life

Passover group of people, was born in 1924 in Jaffa. In 1936 he moved with his family to Atlit, where he was to spend the rest of his life. He was from 1959 to 1962 and again from 1969 to 1971 mayor of Atlit.

As a member of the Likud, he was Minister of Agriculture of 10 October 1983 to 13 September 1984. In March 1990, left group of people, and four other Members of the Likud and founded the party Miflaga Libralit Chadasha, but failed in the 1992 elections at the electoral threshold.

After completing his parliamentary activity Passover group of people, was elected president of the Farmers' Association. Seventeen years - until 2003 - he was also chairman of the Israeli vintners association. In the words of his friend Reuven Rivlin party group of people, was one of the " best agriculture minister in the history of Israel ."
