Peter D. Robinson

Peter D. Robinson ( May 22nd, 1969 in Scunthorpe ) is Bishop of the United Episcopal Church of North America and rector of St. Paul 's Anglican Church of Prescott, Arizona.

Life

Robinson was the son of David Robinson (1944-2008) and Mary E. Robinson (nee Harrison 1946 - ). He grew up in Barton Waterside, Barton-on -Humber, Lincolnshire and attended the Castledyke Primary School and Baysgarth Comprehensive School. He graduated from the College of Ripon and York St John in 1991 with BA ( Hons) degree in History and Theology of the University of Leeds.

After a brief period in the Church of England, he joined the Anglican Catholic Church ( ACC) at Holyrood Seminary and attended the 1993 quarters, where he was taught by David Gregson and John Charles, FODC, who later became Primate of the Anglican Catholic Church, . He was ordained deacon on July 3, 1994 by Leslie Hamlett ( Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of England and Wales, ACC) and December 10, 1995 to the priesthood by John Whiting ( Bishop of Silchester, Traditional Church of England). After a short stay in the Free Church of England, he served in the Church of Ireland (Traditional Rite ) ( 1997-2000) and then in the Anglican Church in America ( 2000-2007) before the United Episcopal Church of North America ( UECNA ) joined in October 2007.

He married on 13 November 1999 Denise Krogh.

Robinson was Minister of Providence Chapel in Barton-on -Humber, Lincs (1995-1999), interim rector of St. Andrew in Los Alamitos (2000/2001) and rector in Prescott St. Paul 's Anglican Church ( since 2002). Robinson also served as an Examining Chaplain in the Diocese of the West of ACA from 2001 to 2007, as President of the Diocesan Standing Committee from 2003 to 2007 and as area dean of Arizona by 2003 to 2007. He is also a longtime member of the Prayer Book Society and contributed posts on the magazine " mandates " on the two previous bishops John Henry Hobart and Richard Channing Moore at.

Robinson was elected on 29 October 2008 at the 9th General Assembly of UECNA in Coshocton auxiliary bishop.
