Peter Eich

Peter Eich ( born June 18, 1963 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a former German football goalkeeper. He played for Waldhof Mannheim, FC Homburg and 1.FC Saarbrücken over 200 games in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Career

After the stations TuS Rheinboellen, TuS Dichtelbach and Hassia Bingen, he moved in 1990 to Waldhof Mannheim, where he played his first second division operations. In 1992 he moved to league rivals FC calibration 08 Homburg, with whom he relegated to the Regionalliga in 1995. In 1998 he moved under a cooperation agreement, both clubs from Homburg to 1.FC Saarbrücken, where he finished at end of season 2006/ 07 with the descent of the 1st FC Saarbrücken in the Oberliga his career.

Due to an injury to goalkeeper Marc Ziegler Peter Eich returned with 42 years back into the goal of the association. On 20 November 2005, he was at the age of 42 years, 5 months and 2 days for third-oldest professional who ever played in German football. On 21 April 2007 at age 43, he played in the Regionalliga Süd 0:3 at the 1 FC Saarbrücken against KSV Hessen Kassel in the last game of his active career.

Calibration played 233 games in the Bundesliga 2, of which 23 for Waldhof Mannheim, 102 for FC Homburg and 108 for the 1 FC Saarbrücken.
