Peter Gerety

Peter Gerety ( born May 17, 1940 in Providence, Rhode Iceland ) is an American actor.

Life and career

His career began as an actor Peter Gerety as a student at Brown University. There he worked on projects at the Charles Playhouse. In 1965 he joined the Trinity Square Repertory Company and appeared in over 125 productions of this. His film debut was in 1981 in the film The House of Mirth.

In 1992, Gerety on Broadway in the play Conversations with My Father by Judd Hirsch on. From 1997 to the end of the series in 1999, he starred in the police series Homicide. From 2002 to 2008 he took over the role of Daniel Phelan in The Wire. He was in six episodes of the series Brotherhood of the party. A major role was Gerety 2011 to 2012 on the NBC series Prime Suspect as Desmond Timoney, the father of the main character Jane (played by Maria Bello ), hold.

Furthermore, Peter Gerety in various films, including War of the Worlds (2005) and Inside Man (2006) played a part.
