Peter Griesbacher

Peter Griesbach ( born March 25, 1864 in Egglham; † January 28, 1933 in Regensburg ) was a German composer, organist and bell experts.

Life

Griesbach in Passau studied theology and was ordained a priest in 1886. From 1894 to 1895 he was a music prefect at the Studienseminar St. Emmeram in Regensburg. His reputation as a composer of church music made ​​him 1911 lecturer at the School of Church Music in Regensburg, where he taught counterpoint, morphology and stylistics. Work

Griesbacher composed predominantly Catholic church music.
