Peter James (cinematographer)

Peter James ( born March 7, 1947 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian cinematographer.

Life

Peter James cousin, the Australian screenwriter Jon Cleary, helped him to get a summer job in the Supreme Sound Studios. There he assisted camera men like George Lowe, Graham Lind, John Leake and Andrew Fraser. After the job you asked James if he wanted to stay longer and so he was an assistant for the Australian television series SOS charter boat! involved. Subsequently, he was second camera assistant in the series Barrier Reef. In 1973, James was allowed to work with Avengers of the Reef for the first time on their own responsibility as a cameraman. There then followed several years alternately Jobs in the camera movement and as a cameraman.

His big Hollywood breakthrough had James in 1989 with Miss Daisy. This was followed by films like Double Murder, My bride, her father and I, The Pacifier and 27 Dresses.
