Peter-Jan Wagemans

Peter -Jan Wagemans ( born September 7, 1952 in The Hague) is a Dutch composer.

Life

Wagemans studied organ, composition (with Jan van Vlijmen ) and music theory at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. His composition studies he continued thereafter continued with Klaus Huber at the Freiburg Musikhochschule. His extensive catalog of works includes all genres, but the emphasis are symphonic works.

Peter -Jan Wagemans taught since 1984 composition and music theory at the Rotterdam Conservatory. He is co-founder of the Rotterdam School.
