Peter Madsen ( born April 26, 1978 in Roskilde ) is a Danish former football player at the position of a striker.

Madsen began at Roskilde BK with the football game, but changed already as a 12- year-old to the Danish top club Brøndby IF, for whom he played from 1997 in the first division. In his best season, 2002, he scored 22 goals in 30 stakes.

In 2002, Madsen for VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. There, however, he could not prevail, and only came to brief appearances. In his four games for Wolfsburg he managed no goals.

After moving to VfL Bochum to the 2003/04 season the Dane became one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga and played a major role in the sensational qualification of the Ruhr clubs for the UEFA Cup. In 32 games he scored 13 goals, including the winning goal to make it 1-0 against FC Bayern Munich.

In the season 2004/05 VfL Bochum failed in the UEFA Cup already in the first round against Standard Liege and dismounted from the Bundesliga. In the second half came Madsen, injury and a red card suspension, only sporadically used. Nevertheless, he met five times in 19 games.

After the descent of Bochum Peter Madsen moved in 2005 to the newly promoted 1st FC Cologne and rushed there initially alongside Lukas Podolski. After moderate performance, the Dane was then loaned to English club Southampton FC, where he also was able to win a regular place itself.

To the beginning of the season Madsen returned for a short time returned to Cologne. In the 2007 /08 season Madsen is back with the Danish club Brondby IF under contract.

There, however, he was barely back to its former strength and was finally awarded in January 2011 for half a year at the Super League Movers Lyngby BK. After his loan period was extended subsequently to the summer of 2012, and it was brought up at this time 29 league inserts and three hits on (seasonally across ) Madsen, the striker returned with beginning of July 2012 back to his tribe club back. This he heard, however, only a few more days before he announced his retirement from professional football in mid-July and ended his career as a football player.

Madsen was in the squad of the Danish national team for the Euro 2004 in Portugal. He, however, came in the quarter -final against the Czech Republic at the score of 0:3 for use. Overall, Peter Madsen played 13 times for the Danish selection. In the friendly match in Poland he had a hat-trick in the 5-1.
