Peter Philipp von Dernbach

Peter Philipp Count von Dernbach Gen. Graul, even Petrus Philippus a Dernbach, ( born July 1, 1619 Geysa, Rhön, † April 23, 1683 in Würzburg) was Prince-Bishop of the Diocese of Bamberg and Würzburg diocese.

Family

Peter Philipp came from the Hessian primordial noble family " called by Dernbach Graul " ( Called name ), with headquarters in Dernbach ( Castle New Dernbach ), now part of Bad Endbach in Marburg- Biedenkopf in Hesse. His father was, like his two other brothers, brought from her brother, the Prince-Abbot Balthasar von Dernbach Gen. Life

Peter Philipp was accepted as a twelve year old on February 7, 1631 from Bamberg cathedral chapter as Domizellar ( canons ), on February 25, 1643 in Würzburg. He studied in Bamberg from 1642 to 1643 and then at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome.

On May 31, 1649 he was elected as a canon with seat and voice in the cathedral chapter of Bamberg, on August 7, 1649 in the cathedral chapter of Würzburg. Coat of arms

The prince-bishop's coat of arms is composed in a crossing of the arms of the diocese of Würzburg and Bamberg. As a heart shield the family crest is planted: Three golden heart (?
