Peter von Gunten
Peter von Gunten ( born November 20, 1941 in Bern ) is a Swiss filmmaker.
Life and work
From 1956 to 1961 he attended the School of Applied Arts in Bern. Between 1960 and 1964 he worked in various advertising agencies and studios as a graphic designer, photographer and illustrator. From 1964 to 1970 he led his own studio for graphics, exhibition graphics and photography.
His film debut was in 1967 turned his short film flowers poem. Since then he is known as a writer, director, cinematographer and producer of short films, documentaries, television and feature films. People on the margins of society are a central theme of his filmmaking.
