Petra Hartmann

Petra Hartmann (born 1970 in Hildesheim ) is a German writer from the genre of fantastic literature.

Life

Hartmann grew up in Sillium on at Holle and attended high school Andreanum in Hildesheim. She studied German literature, philosophy and political science at the University of Hannover and received his doctorate with a thesis on the young German writer Theodor Mundt.

During her studies she began working as a journalist. She wrote for the leash -Zeitung ( Neustadt am Ruebenberge ), the Nordsee-Zeitung ( Bremerhaven ) and the New Press (Hannover). An internship at the New Deister newspaper in Springe joined them. For this newspaper, she then worked for five years as local editor. Since then, she is a freelance writer and journalist in Sillium.

Petra Hartmann writes mainly fairy tales and fantasy. In her study she published stories and poems in the student magazine Versschwoerer, followed by posts in fanzines of the legend singer - Edition by Christel Scheja and the Tales of Blood and Love by Charlotte Engmann.

Your first successes she won in competition at the Olympics story, in which they each took third place in the years 1999, 2000 and 2001. Your three posts were playing in the fantasy world Movenna and liked the story Olympic founder and publisher Ernst Wurdack so well that he is a first book out of this world ordered from the author. 2004, the band appeared Stories from Movenna, as the second part in 2007 joined A Prince for Movenna to, the 2010, the novel was followed by The rock of the black gods. More Movenna stories published in anthologies, magazines and fanzines.

For the Wurdack -Verlag she worked as an editor of two fairy tale books. In 2008, she was honored for her anthology Dragon Strong Feenzauber with the German Fantasy Award.

As a literary scholar Petra Hartmann mainly preoccupied with the boy Germany. A particular focus of her work is the young German authors Theodor Mundt, Gustav Kühne and Charlotte Stieglitz. It also published essays on Uwe Johnson, the Faust and Don Juan fabric, about the motives of fantasy and journalistic writing.
