Petru Stoianov

Petru Stoianov ( born October 29, 1939 in Vinga, Arad County ) is a Romanian composer and musicologist.

Life

Stoianov studied from 1963 to 1964 in Arad Nicolae Brânzeu music theory, choral conducting and music history, then in 1969 at the Conservatory of George Enescu Iasi music theory with Adrian Diaconu, harmony and composition with Anton Zeman, counterpoint with Vasile Spătărelu, music history at George Pascu, folk music in Gheorghe Ciobanu, choral conducting with Ion Pavalache and piano with Ion world. This was followed up in 1972 Lizenziatsstudium in music education and composition at the Conservatory Ciprian Porumbescu with Anatol Vieru (composition), Florin Eftimescu (harmony ), Nicolae Buicliu and Dinu Ciocan ( counterpoint), Tudor Ciortea ( morphology ), Ovidiu Varga and Octavian Lazar Cosma ( music history ), Emilia Comişel ( folk music ), George Bălan (Music aesthetics ), Vinicius Grefiens ( score reading ), Aurel Stroe ( Instrumentation and orchestration ), Marin Constantin ( choral conducting ) and Grete Gabriel Ionescu (piano) at.

Until 1989 Stoianov was a professor at the scoala de Muzica şi Arte Plastice nr. 2 in Bucharest. After that he worked until 1998 as a music inspector of the municipal school inspection Bucharest and worked until 2001, when the Ministry of Education. From 2000 to 2004 he was Vice Dean of the Faculty of Music of the National University of Music Bucharest in Bucharest, since he is Professor and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Music of the University Spiru Haret.

Since 1993 Stoianov Vice President of the Romanian Committee of Musical Youths International and founder and musical director of the international competitions of the Jeunesse Musicales in Bucharest. He also worked in the 1990s as director, executive director or consultant in the Săptămâna Internationala a Muzicii Noi ( International Week of Contemporary Music ) in Bucharest.
