PFC Montana

The PFK Montana ( Bulgarian: ПФК Монтана ) is a football club based in Montana, who is currently playing in the highest Bulgarian football league A Grupa. The Bulgarian football player Stilian Petrov began his career at PFK Montana.

History

The club was founded on 20 March 1947 under the name FC Hristo Mihaylov. Between 1957 and 1990 the club played under the name FC Septemvriyska Slava. From 1990, the club had its present name PFK Montana.

Until 2009, the rise of PFK Montana ever played three seasons (1994-1997) in A Grupa. The best ever A Grupa placement of the association was the ninth place in the 1995/96 season.

Stadium

The PFK Montana plays its games in Ogosta Stadium, which has 8,000 seats.
