Pflügers Archiv: European Journal of Physiology

Pflügers Archiv - European Journal of Physiology, abbreviated Pflügers Arch, is a scientific journal published by Springer-Verlag. She currently appears with twelve issues a year.

It was founded in 1868 by Eduard Pflüger under the name Archive for the whole physiology of humans and animals. The first issue contains 26 articles to their authors Hermann Aubert, Julius Bernstein, Johann Nepomuk Czermak, Franciscus Cornelis Donders, Sigmund Exner, Siegmund Mayer, Peter Panum, William Thierry Preyer, Salomon Stricker, Hermann von Helmholtz and Nathan Zuntz belong. 1910, the name of the founder was included in the magazine name, so they called 's archive for the entire physiology of humans and animals in the following tiller. This name was retained until 1968 and then changed to the currently valid.

Some magazines went on in the plowman archive as 1919, the Archives of Anatomy and Physiology. Physiological Dept. ( ISSN 0365-5806 ), or 1921, the Zentralblatt für physiology as well as the archive of Physiology. There are published works from all areas of physiological research.

The Impact Factor was in 2012 at 4,866. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge, the Journal Impact Factor in this category physiology is performed on the seventh out of 80 journals.
