The Sticky Phazelie ( Phacelia viscida ) is a species of the genus Phacelia in the family Boraginaceae ( Boraginaceae ).
Features
The Sticky Phazelie is an annual plant that reaches the plant height of 10 to 80 centimeters. The sepals are 3-4 mm long, crop time they reach 5 to 10 millimeters. The crown is bowl-shaped or almost wheel-shaped, white, blue or purple colored, 8 to 18 mm long and has a diameter of 15 to 25 millimeters. The stamens are sparsely hairy. The pen is 5 to 15 millimeters long.
The flowering period extends from June to August.
Occurrence
The Sticky Phazelie occurs in open, dry sites at altitudes up to 700 meters in California.
Use
The Sticky Phazelie is rarely used as an ornamental plant for summer flowerbeds.
