Phil Bruns
Phil Bruns (actually Philip Bruns, born 2 May 1931 in Pipestone, Minnesota, † February 8, 2012 in Los Angeles ) was an American actor.
Life
Bruns attended the Yale Drama School, played in New York on stage and in commercials and was active since 1959 as a character actor; best known is his role in the television series Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman as the father of the heroine. Mid-1960s, he worked for three years to see on the side of Jackie Gleason in his comedy show. As a guest star, he worked for numerous series such as Columbo, Night Court, M * A * S * H and Seinfeld. Also in about 40 movies, he held roles.
In 2008 his book The Character Actor's Do's, Don'ts And Anecdotes appeared.
