Gold eyes jumping spider ( Philaeus chrysops )

Philaeus is a genus of the family of jumping spiders ( Salticidae ). Once the scope has been assigned to the genus Philaeus maoniuensis Yllenus in 2003, the genre still today includes 13 species.

Dissemination

Species of the genus Philaeus are particularly widespread in the Mediterranean and West Africa. Occasionally, one jumping spiders also in Guatemala and on the Galápagos Islands. Your well -known representative is the gold eyes jumping spider, which is spread over large parts of the southern Palearctic. In Central Europe (up in some Polish regions) it occurs.
