Philémon Yang

Philémon Yang ( born June 14, 1947 in Jiketem - Oku ) is Prime Minister of Cameroon in place of Ephraim Inoni.

Previously, he was from 2004 to 2009 Minister in the President's Office. He was in the government service from 1975 to 1984 and from 1984 to 2004 as Ambassador to Canada.

After studying law at the University of Yaoundé, he was first prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in Buea since January 1975. Half a year later he was appointed Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration, before he finally was in 1979 Minister of Mines and Energy. He remained in this position until 1984 and then went as his country's ambassador to Canada. He has held this position for 20 years.
