History

Foundation of the school

On 1 May 1836, the current Philipp-Reis- school was founded by Louis Frédéric Garnier, the French name " Maison d' Education à Friedrichsdorf, près Homburg -ès -Monts " (on a German " House of Education in Friedrichsdorf, next Homburg ").
