Philippe Besson

Philippe Besson ( born January 29, 1967 in Barbezieux -Saint -Hilaire ) is a French writer.

Life

After attending high school in Bordeaux Besson graduated from a legal Fachhochschulaussbildung in Rouen. At 22 he went to Paris, where he worked as a lawyer and lecturer in social law. Influenced by Marguerite Duras, Marcel Proust, and Arthur Rimbaud, published Besson 2001 En l' absence des hommes his first novel, the others followed at yearly intervals.
