  • BDO World Championship runner- 2007

Phill Nixon ( born March 13, 1956 in Durham, † August 9, 2013 ) was an English darts player.

In the BDO World Championship 2007 he made a stir when he reached the final as a qualifier. In the final, he was against the eventual world champion and world ranked first Martin Adams first with 0:6 rear. After a pause, he could temporarily compensate for 6:6, before losing the final and deciding set and was at the end of the World Cup runner-up.

Nixon was an otherwise rather inconspicuous player who always participated as a qualifier at major tournaments. In July 2013, cancer was diagnosed in Nixon. He succumbed to his illness a month later and left a wife and eight children.
