Music

The Sonata with a playing time of about 11 to 12 minutes has two sets:

  • I. Andante
  • Presto II

The work is entitled " Sonate - Fantaisie " and tells an equally designated unnumbered youth Scriabin Sonata from 1886 also both key and two-movement. The two-movement has also returned to two-movement sonatas ( opp. 78, 90, 111). Unlike Beethoven, however, have in two movements of the sonata of Scriabin exposition and recapitulation larger size and weight as the implementation.

The main theme of the first movement ( G sharp minor ) is characterized by a short, ending with three throbbing Triolenachteln motif. The secondary theme is in B - flat major. Pronounced coloristically ornamental figurations back parts of the sentence in the vicinity of Impressionism. The second movement is determined by continuous, flowing, wave-like, extremely rapid triplets.

After Scriabin's own words, the second sonata is inspired by impressions of various marine moods. The first (mostly resulting in Genoa) set accordingly evokes evening peace and nocturnal moonlight on a seashore, while the second reflects stormy rough sea.
