Pier Francesco Ferrero

Pier Francesco Ferrero (* 1510 in Biella, † November 14, 1566 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

The younger brother of Cardinal Filiberto Ferrero was 1527-1550 benefice of S. Stefano in Vercelli, and was raised on December 20, 1536 to the Bishop of Vercelli. From 1549 to 1560 also benefice of S. Stefano di Ivrea, he was in Bologna in 1540 Vizelegat. 1552 as a delegate to the Council of Trent, he was Cardinal Carlo Carafa 1557 Auditor in Brussels and 1560-1561 nuncio in Venice.

On February 26, 1561 by Pope Pius IV created cardinal priest, he received on June 3, 1561 the titular church of San Cesareo in Palatio. After he changed the title Saint Agnes Church on November 10, 1561 agone, he resigned on 2 May 1562 his diocese. On October 7, 1565, he became cardinal priest of the titular church of Santa Anastasia.
