Pierre-Yves Maillard

Pierre -Yves Maillard ( born March 16, 1968 in Lausanne, home justified in Mossel ) is a Swiss politician (SP).

After studying at the University of Lausanne, where he graduated with a master's, Maillard was a teacher for the subjects of French, history and geography at the School of Préverenges and the C.-F. - Ramuz Middle School in Lausanne. From 2000 to 2004 he was Regional Secretary of the SMSR for the cantons of Vaud and Fribourg.

Maillard belonged from 1990 to 1998 the first municipal council of Lausanne, then from 1998 to 2000 the Grand Council of the Canton of Vaud on. Of the 1999 elections until November 29, 2004, he was a National. Since 1 December 2004 Maillard 's State Council of the Canton of Vaud and forwards the Département de la santé et de l' action sociale ( Department of Health and Welfare). From 2004 to 2008 he was also Vice- President of the SP Switzerland. In the Federal election 2011, he was one of the two official candidates of the SP Group.

Maillard is married, has two children and lives in Renens.
