Pieter de Jode II

Pieter de Jode the Younger ( * November 22, 1604 or 1606 in Antwerp, † after 1674 in England) was a Dutch engraver.

Pieter de Jode the Younger, son and pupil of Pieter de Jode the Elder, was formed after the engravers of Rubens 's school and worked around 1631 in Paris, where he stabbed by Simon Vouet and other French painters. His best prints are those. According paintings by Peter Paul Rubens, Jacob Jordaens and Van Dyck, whose iconography he contributed twelve portraits

His main work is Rinaldo and Armida by van Dyck. In 1650 he published the portrait collection begun by his father Theatrum principum.
