Pietro Garlato

Pietro Garlato ( born January 10, 1928 in Udine, † April 29, 2013 in Tivoli) was Bishop of Tivoli.

Life

Pietro Garlato received on 1 July 1951, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Concordia ( Sagittaria ). He was Secretary General of the Vicariate of Rome and from 1985 to 1988 Delegate of Pontifical Central Commission for the religious art in Italy.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on April 2, 1986 Bishop of Palestrina. The Cardinal Vicar Ugo Poletti consecrated him on April 19th of the same year the bishop; Were co-consecrators Ennio Appignanesi, Weiherzbischof in Rome, and Plinio Pascoli, Auxiliary Bishop of Rome.

On December 30, 1991, he was appointed Bishop of Tivoli. It was founded in 1994 as president of the National Council of the Italian Episcopal Conference ( CEI) for the heritage of the Church, appointed.
