Pilot logbook

A flight book (English or flight logbook pilot logbook ) is the recording of all flights of a pilot.

Each pilot must independently perform a flight log and have the aircraft at all times. In aviation, in addition to the log of the aircraft by the respective pilot private pilot's logbook as a personal evidence must be performed while the log is used to record the operating time of the aircraft. In the main flight log also the movements of an aerodrome to be documented.

The flight book serves as proof of flight hours that are required for the extension of the pilot license, or as evidence for obtaining authorizations or licenses for the flying experience necessary ( eg night rating, instrument rating, pilot's license for a commercial airline pilot, is authorized to tow, training authorization, scattering - and Sprühberechtigung ).
