Pingjiang County

Circle Pingjiang (平江县, Pingjiang Xiàn ) is a the district of the city of Yueyang in Hunan Province in the south of the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 4118 km ² and has 1.0 million inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Hanchang (汉 昌镇).

The site of Pingjiang Uprising (平 江 起义 旧址, Pingjiang Qiyi Jiuzhi ) is in 1928 since 1988 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 3-27 ).
