Piotr Nowakowski

Piotr Nowakowski ( born December 18, 1987 in Żyrardów ) is a Polish volleyball player.

Career

Nowakowski began his career at Wrzos Międzyborów. Later he played for Metro Warszawa and in 2006 he came to AZS Częstochowa. In 2008 he reached with the club in the Polish Cup competition and in the league each second. In the same year, the middle blocker debuted in the Polish national team. At the European Championships 2009, he won with the team the title. 2011, there were for Poland in the World League and the European Championship third places, respectively, and the second place in the World Cup. Nowakowski then moved to his present club Resovia Rzeszów. With Rzeszów he was Polish champion in 2012. He also starred in the CEV Cup final. The national team won the World League in 2012. Nowakowski played in London in the Olympic tournament.
